RiConnect Appoints Holloway Houston

RiConnect Inc., a provider of cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS), has named Holloway Houston a distributor in the Americas.

Holloway will supply RiConnect’s full SaaS offering to the oil and gas, construction, and other markets across North and South America from its strategically located facility in Houston, Texas. It will complement the company’s established ranges of below-the-hook, wire rope, chain, and rigging products.

Holloway, which employs 200 people, manufactures and stocks the best quality lifting and rigging equipment, including hardware from the industry’s most respected brands, such as Kito Crosby, William Hackett, and Royal Van Beest, in addition to state-of-the-art load monitoring technologies. The company also has a world-class testing facility. Holloway has served hundreds of clients from different industries for more than 40 years.

RiConnect is dedicated to simplifying and digitalizing the processes around compliance and traceability for equipment management. It has pioneered utilization of radio frequency identification (RFID) chips, allowing end users of lifting and other equipment to keep up with pre-use checks and unique identification numbers. By moving to paperless systems, companies can improve the accuracy of maintenance, safety checks, incident reports, and regulatory compliance, while ensuring seamless information sharing.

A representative of Holloway said: “We are in an ongoing phase of aggressive growth and now represents the perfect time to start introducing RiConnect’s Compliance Management System to our markets. The system is designed to assist organizations serving the oil and gas, offshore, and other industries, with regulatory requirements related to daily pre-use checks, periodic inspections, regular maintenance, and calibration. This goes hand in hand with our core products.”

Offline mode

Holloway’s customers will find RiConnect’s offline mode to be a particularly interesting feature. The function allows use of the system — for pre-use checks, maintenance, asset registration, hosting register, and inspections — even without an internet connection. This reflects RiConnect’s strategic focus to address the connectivity challenges faced by industries operating in remote or offshore environments, ensuring seamless compliance management even in offline conditions.

Stevedores, construction workers, and oil and gas professionals will note that Compliance, Traceability, Status, and Net Zero have become the established cornerstones of RiConnect, as it simplifies and digitalizes the processes around compliance and traceability for equipment management.

Holloway’s representative added: “Our excellent customer service helps differentiate us from our competitors. That’s why our clients keep coming back for specialized services and products. Our successful lunch and learn session proves that we have an engaged customer base that is willing to explore all avenues to make their operations as safe and efficient as possible — and RiConnect’s technology will increasingly be utilized in addition to the lifting and rigging hardware for which we are renowned.”
