RiConnect Secures Three-Year Headline Sponsorship at LiftEx

RiConnect, a provider of cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS), will be the Headline Sponsor at the next three LiftEx shows — starting with this year’s event on 18-19 November at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool, UK.

RiConnect, which took the same sponsorship package at last year’s LiftEx at London’s Olympia, is dedicated to simplifying and digitalising the processes around compliance and traceability for equipment management. It has pioneered utilisation of radio frequency identification (RFID) chips, allowing end users of lifting and other equipment to keep up with pre-use checks and unique identification numbers. By moving to paperless systems, companies can improve the accuracy of maintenance, safety checks, incident reports, and regulatory compliance, while ensuring seamless information sharing.

RiConnect will once again share an 8m by 6m exhibit with YOKE Industrial Corp., an industrial lifting equipment manufacturer. The co-location with YOKE, also a sponsor, presents RiConnect with a prime opportunity to demonstrate to visitors how chips can even be embedded in a 7mm connector and 1t capacity shackle, showcasing an app and desktop site to read and capture data. The combination drastically enhances safety and makes the exhibit relevant to anyone looking to digitalise their products or bring safety to the forefront of their organisation.

Rob Whitehurst-Maiden, sales manager at RiConnect, said: “This long-term commitment reflects our strong partnership with LEEA [the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association] and our dedication to supporting innovation and digital transformation within the lifting industry. LiftEx is a pivotal industry event, providing an exceptional platform to showcase cutting-edge digital solutions and lifting innovations.

“By securing a multi-year sponsorship, we ensure consistent brand visibility; establish ourselves as a thought leader in lifting technology; and strengthen our engagement with the LEEA community. This commitment also allows us to maximise the impact of our digital transformation strategy across the lifting sector.”

RiConnect will be Headline Sponsor at LiftEx 2025, 2026, and 2027.

Digital compliance leadership

RiConnect will use Headline Sponsorship to raise the profile of a number of digital compliance and traceability solutions, including its Digital Product Passports (DPP), which align with industry’s adaptation to the European Union’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). A DPP is a data management tool that records a product’s lifecycle information, including material composition, energy performance, maintenance guidelines, and recycling methods. A DPP thusly promotes compliance and transparency, while improving resource efficiency and supporting circular economy goals.

Also given a LiftEx platform will be the Compliance Management System upheld by the cornerstones of Compliance, Traceability, Status, and Net Zero. CTSN, as it is better known, has been embraced in all corners of the world, supported by RiConnect’s subsidiaries in the UK and US; and partners located in the Middle East, Hong Kong, Iceland, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan.

The firm’s business model emphasises building a strong network of regional agents, which allows it to cultivate a RiConnect ecosystem where partners can thrive. This strategy ensures localised support and expertise, allowing RiConnect to expand globally, while maintaining a tailored approach in each market, where end customers include health, safety, and environment departments in large companies.

Whitehurst-Maiden added: “Our 2024 Headline Sponsorship was highly successful, significantly increasing brand awareness, attracting key decision-makers, and generating valuable business opportunities. It enabled us to present a number of core competencies — DPP and CTSN — showcasing our leadership in digital compliance and asset management for lifting equipment. The engagement and feedback from both existing and potential customers reinforced the importance of continuing this sponsorship.”

RiConnect will report on additional elements of its multifaceted LiftEx Headline Sponsorship in due course.
