DICA is Official Outrigger Pad Sponsor of Lift & Move USA Career Event

DICA will participate in the Lift & Move USA event hosted by ALL Crane, part of the ALL Family of Companies, in Tampa, Fla., Feb. 14,  2017. As the official outrigger pad sponsor, DICA will supply a set of FiberMax Mega Duty crane pads under the outriggers of ALL’s 120-ton Liebherr LTM 1100-4.2 all-terrain crane.

Lift & Move USA is for high school and college students interested in learning more about careers in crane, rigging, and specialized transport industries. It is a cooperative effort of the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association, the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators, KHL Group with SkillsUSA and industry partners. As many as 450 students and military veterans are expected to attend in February.

“The crane industry—from the biggest cranes to much of the supporting tools and gear—boasts some of the most highly engineered equipment and products. Showing that technology to young people is one way to get them interested in careers in this field,” said Kris Koberg, CEO of DICA. “We are pleased to take part in this event.”

“By demonstrating proper crane setup, young people attending Lift & Move USA may be surprised by the priority the industry puts on safety,” said Koberg. “Our mission is to build the best product, provide the most accurate fitting, and ensure every customer has a safe and effective load distribution solution,” he said. DICA’s outrigger pads and crane pads have been used in some of the most extreme environments and by some of the most risk-averse clients, including NASA’s LDSD program.
