EMH Appoints Jeff Larouche New Operations Manager
Engineered Material Handling (EMH) has named Jean-Francois (Jeff) Larouche operations manager for North and South America as well as for the company’s international operations. Larouche will oversee and coordinate all engineering, manufacturing and purchasing functions for EMH, as well as work with sales to forecast work requirements.
David Comiono, EMH vice president, said: “Jeff is widely recognized and respected by companies around the United States and Canada for his extensive knowledge, background and experience in the crane industry. We could not be more pleased that Jeff is now part of Engineered Material Handling and that he will be bringing those skills and experience to the EHM team.”
A native of Quebec, Canada, Larouche has been part of the crane industry for over 17 years, starting as a crane technician, then international field installation supervisor and finally serving as technical manager and project director for ECL Services of Quebec, part of the Rio Tinto Alcan Group. He spent 10 years overseeing engineering, R&D and project management of specialized process cranes for the aluminum industry as well as standard overhead cranes.
Larouche’s professional studies include International Management at Laval University in Quebec and Electrodynamics (Limilou CEGEP, Quebec), which includes PLCs and variable frequency drives controls. He is also a licensed Master Electrician (Canada) and OSHA Certified Crane Inspector.
