NCCCO to Host Press Conference / Reception at CONEXPO

The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) will host a press conference and reception on the second day of the 2017 CONEXPO-CON/AGG show, which takes place March 7-11 in Las Vegas. NCCCO will welcome media on Wednesday 8 March at 3pm at its booth located in the Lift Safety Zone, Gold Lot, G-4301.

NCCCO will discuss two developments in particular:

1. Launch of a brand-new certification program for operators of dedicated pile driving rigs.
2. Announcement of an agreement with the International Association of Foundation Drilling to develop a certification program for operators of foundation drill rigs.

The press conference will be held jointly with the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF). Other content will include:

• The hazards of changes in ground bearing pressure when operating cranes (NCCCO‘s Lift Safety Zone theme).
• An update on the status of OSHA’s rule on crane operator certification.
• The potential for Virtual Reality in crane operator training and certification. Also try your hand at the controls of a virtual crane!

The press conference will be followed by crane and rigging demonstrations as well as an industry reception where attendees can relax with friends and colleagues.

CONEXPO-CON/AGG takes place March 7-11 in Las Vegas.
