Alpine Joins Apex Family
Warehouse and distribution customers in the region of the Mile-High City will benefit from expanded capabilities offered by Alpine Equipment Co. as it joins the Apex family of material handling and storage companies.
The combined company—operating under Apex Warehouse Systems—unites the talents and capabilities of Alpine’s existing staff with the larger sales, design, engineering, automation, and rack repair services of Chicago-based Apex Companies.
Founded in 1996, Alpine Equipment Co. has had a long and successful history in supplying pallet rack and warehouse equipment to Colorado customers. The Apex Companies, including Apex Warehouse Systems, have developed a nationwide reputation for their warehouse engineering, design, automation, and rack maintenance services and as a material handling equipment supplier.
“I have worked for Alpine Equipment Company for the past 23 years and I have truly enjoyed building long-lasting relationships with my loyal customers and vendors. I am so excited to be a part of the Apex team and all the new opportunities they will bring to the Denver market. Our vast inventory of new and used pallet rack/warehouse products will give me the ability to fulfill any and all of my customer’s needs,” said Natasha Rollins, Sales Manager Alpine Equipment Company.
The new Colorado location will give the combined company a springboard to better serve their mountain region clients and expand the business in the western U.S. Denver will become the third Apex stocking location after Chicago and Emporia, VA. Four key Apex personnel, including their National Accounts Manager, two project managers, and the Director of Apex’s Rack Repair Division, already reside in Colorado and are looking forward to working with the Alpine staff to create a superstar team with greater design, layout, and engineering capabilities.
As an indication of its expansion plans, the new company already has openings for two new applications engineers.
“The acquisition of Alpine offers Apex an unparalleled opportunity to grow the company in the Western U.S. We have had a longstanding relationship with the owners and staff at Alpine and their material handling division, FMH Material Handling. Both companies are focused on best practices in engineering, design, and customer service. Combining our efforts in the Denver area will create a powerful and capable team,” noted Peter DeHaan, Principal of Apex Warehouse Systems.
Apex Warehouse Systems’ Denver location will be based out of the existing Alpine offices. The combined staff is up and running and ready to provide its well-known level of expertise and customer service to both current and prospective clients. The merger was concluded on August 15, 2021.
