ASSP Fall Protection Webinar
The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) has planned another installment of its standards education series called “Stand Up for Standards.” A live two-hour webinar on fall protection and restraint implementation will take place at 10 a.m. CT on May 8, helping safety and health professionals identify and mitigate the hazards of working at height.
“Stand Up for Standards: ANSI/ASSP Fall Protection and Restraint Implementation” will provide an overview and best practices for implementing the Z359 standards. These key standards address fall protection equipment and systems for climbing, work positioning, fall arrest, rescue, evacuation and other fall hazards.
Safety experts Thomas Kramer, P.E., CSP, Dan Henn, Don Hurley, CSP, and Lauren Bauerschmidt, CSP, will share practical guidance, safety resources and real-world experiences to help attendees reduce fall-related injuries and fatalities at their organizations.
The webinar applies to safety and health professionals at the beginner, intermediate, advanced and executive levels. Each online registration includes all standards in the Z359 Fall Protection Code. Attendees will earn 0.2 continuing education units (CEUs).

Voluntary consensus standards provide expert guidance on industry best practices and fill gaps where federal standards don’t exist. Companies rely on them to drive improvement, injury prevention and sustainability. With government regulations slow to change and often out of date, compliance is not sufficient to protect workers.
