Dematic Relocates Euro HQ
Grand Rapids, Michigan-headquartered Dematic, an automated intralogistics solutions company and part of the Kion Group, has moved its new European headquarters five miles from Banbury to Adderbury, in the Oxfordshire countryside.
The spacious state-of-the-art office, provides its employees with a fantastic place to work and is equipped with the very latest technology. Some of the meeting rooms have a virtual canvas which projects onto the wall, giving a total virtual display of ten metres. Touch activation enables objects to be moved around the digitalised wall space, eliminating the need for paper. Many of the other meeting rooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards, electric flip-charts and other hi-tech gadgets.
There is a modern, contemporary feel throughout, with open-plan offices and glass-walled meeting rooms, creating a light and spacious interior. The Hubs are a place to relax or for informal meetings with colleagues whilst The Open House Kitchen with its separate dining room and outside courtyard and BBQ serves a variety of hot and cold food and beverage options, including a grab and go section for both employees and customers.
The new Academy consisting of a Technical Training room and 4 meeting rooms and a central informal seating area, provides visitors with a valuable glimpse of the new training and development opportunities for employees, engineers and customers, whilst the ‘live’ Exhibition Centre showcases its latest intralogistics solutions and system capabilities.
Consisting of an impressive glass atrium complete with AV system, staging and versatile seating configurations, the Conference Centre can seat up to 120 guests or can also be split into 2 separate rooms for smaller events. Based around an airport business lounge concept, the lounge is a private work space for visitors with soft seating, work benches, charging points and kitchen facilities.
The brand new 24/7 Customer Response Centre provides coordination of the various activities associated with the provision of Dematic customer services. It enables Dematic to connect to their customers’ world and support their customer engineers, resident teams, service visits and mobile teams, allowing them to adapt to the evolving nature of support tasks.
A wealth of additional facilities for staff include an IT help desk, The Den for sports and social meetings, a relaxation area complete with pool table, table-tennis and games console, The Studio for activities such as yoga and pilates, as well as The Gym, showers and changing rooms.
