enVista Replaces School’s Wireless Network Hardware
enVista, a supply chain consulting and IT services firm, will replace Indianapolis Catholic High School Bishop Chatard’s (BCHS) wireless network hardware in order to overcome existing infrastructure obstacles and ensure successful wireless configuration and deployment.
Challenged by an unreliable and outdated wireless infrastructure, BCHS sought to provide high performing wireless coverage for its faculty and staff. BCHS decided to enter into the Ruckus Cloud WI-FI beta program provided by Ruckus Wireless. The program allows BCHS to update its wireless infrastructure with an affordable capital investment.
Upon agreement between Ruckus and BCHS, Ruckus needed a partner to perform the implementation. When Ruckus approached enVista to complete the implementation, enVista’s IT consultants provided and implemented new wireless network hardware using Ruckus Wireless omni-directional access points and Ruckus Cloud Management Controller.
Overall, the project lasted four weeks and included administrative tasks, procurement, configuration, deployment, and wireless site surveys. As part of the project, enVista secured and deployed 79 access points at BCHS.
“Serving non-profits is how we launched our IT services business, and this project with Bishop Chatard High School is a good testament to our commitment to this sector,” said David Eckel, managing partner at enVista. “We take great satisfaction in helping non-profit organizations leverage the technology they need to improve performance. Just knowing that our IT services and solutions are enabling BCHS students, faculty and staff to better access the resources they need is a job well-done in our eyes.”
Tom Groot, north deanery chief information officer at BCHS, said: “enVista helped our school implement a new wireless network that is a major improvement for our students and staff. enVista’s IT consulting team effectively delivered against our fixed deadlines at the start of the school year and also delivered a full network upgrade for one of our K-8 Catholic schools that has provided a dramatic improvement in network performance.”
Based on the project’s success, BCHS has invited enVista to continue to improve their wireless network with additional network designs and by providing ongoing support for the school’s wireless network infrastructure.
