Engineering Manager
Required to lead, schedule and manage overhead crane design team including electrical and structural engineers and drafters. This leader will communicate regularly with upper management, sales, manufacturing, service technicians and occasionally customers.
The candidate will be active in mechanical design of machines and powertrains, as well as application of current designs. Ability to manage product structure and BOM development is required. Occasional field inspections of equipment at height and in dirty environments is required.
Candidates must be familiar with material specification, heat treat processes, bearing sizing, fits and tolerances and be willing to become well versed in industry codes and specifications including CMAA #70 and #74 and ANSI B30.2. PE is preferred or ability to achieve PE. Experience with overhead cranes, FEA or gear design is desirable.
Candidate must have at least a BS in Mechanical Engineering with five years of machine design experience utilizing AutoCAD or 3D modeling tools, and demonstrated team leading abilities. Exceptional written and verbal skills are also required.
Mechanical Engineer
Required to join overhead crane design team. The candidate will be the lead mechanical designer of machines and powertrains, as well as application of current designs.
