Industry Welcomes Below the Hook, the Modulift Magazine
Modulift, a manufacturer of spreader beams, lifting beams and other below-the-hook equipment, has launched a new company magazine called Below the Hook.
The first edition of the digital publication was circulated this week to the company’s extensive database of OEMs, distributors, end users and other lifting industry contacts in North America and worldwide.
Managing director Sarah Spivey said: “Content marketing has been the focal point of many a meeting at Modulift recently. This magazine is one item on our new bookshelf of content that addresses our audiences in a variety of formats.”
She added: “The lifting equipment industry, like many of the sectors we serve, is very traditional in its quest for knowledge and information, which is why we have launched this digital product in a format that many of our partners and contacts are familiar with.”
The first issue of Below the Hook welcomed new recruits Liam Botting, new business development manager; and Mindy Edwards, who joined Modulift’s production team where she replaced Tom Cox following his promotion to the role of production supervisor.
It also covered an order for 27 spreader beams and other below-the-hook equipment for oil and gas specialist Alderley for the Shah Deniz Stage 2 BP project in Azerbaijan.
Elsewhere in the four-page magazine was an article about a new joint venture being formed to address growing pressure on those responsible for the application of lifting equipment to spread resources whilst constantly improving safety and efficiency, a trend fuelled by ongoing cost-cuts in the oil and gas sector.
Spivey also used her introductory message to launch Modulift’s Lift of the Year competition. To enter, simply send them a picture of Modulift below-the-hook equipment at work during 2015 and explain why it should win the first ever Lift of the Year award. The winner will be announced in their next edition.
