Labor Management, Leadership Course
The Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) has released the Labor Management & Leadership course, the sixth and final installment in its Distribution Logistics Education Program.
This course is designed to help logistics professionals build and maintain a strong, adaptable workforce to meet the demands of modern distribution and fulfillment operations.
Offered in an online format, the Labor Management & Leadership course empowers learners to master workforce strategies at their own pace. Key topics of the course include:
- Evaluating the benefits and challenges of the different sources and types of labor.
- Leveraging labor management systems, strategic scheduling, and workforce leveling to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Attracting and retaining talent in a competitive market through talent acquisition best practices.
- Designing effective onboarding and training programs for new hires.
- Reducing workforce turnover to maintain operational stability.
Participants who complete the Labor Management & Leadership course will earn a social media badge to showcase their skills. Additionally, participants who complete all six courses in the Distribution Logistics Education Program will earn a WERC certificate for education, recognizing their proficiency in warehouse and distribution center operations.
