Logisnext Opens Cat Lift Trucks Scholarship
Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas, a manufacturer of material handling, automation and fleet solutions, has opened its 21st Annual Cat Lift Trucks Scholarship Program.
Spearheading a two-decade commitment, the $5,000 scholarship is awarded to a Houston-area high-school senior for their passion to pursue a four-year degree related to the material handling industry.
“We believe that education is the foundation for building a better tomorrow,” said Ken Barina, president of Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas.
“Our scholarship program isn’t just about financial support; it’s about empowering young leaders to unlock their full potential and make a meaningful impact on their communities and the world. We are proud to stand with these exceptional students as they pave the way for a brighter, more innovative future.”
Since its launch in 2005, the Cat Lift Trucks Scholarship Program has awarded a cumulative $145,000 in educational assistance to 28 outstanding students from the Greater Houston area.
Past recipients have enrolled in prestigious Texas universities and colleges, including Texas A&M University, The University of Texas at Austin and Texas State Technical College, pursuing degrees in diverse fields, such as mechanical and chemical engineering, welding technology and entrepreneurship.
Selection criteria include academic performance, community service involvement, leadership abilities and financial need.
As the Official Lift Truck Provider of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR), Cat Lift Trucks will announce the winner of the 2025 scholarship during the annual HLSR event, scheduled to take place from March 4 to March 23, 2025, in Houston.
