MHI Hosts Successful 2016 Annual Conference
MHI recently hosted its 2016 Annual Conference, featuring the theme of Accelerating Change, from October 17-19 in Tucson, Arizona. The Annual Conference is a multi-day event focused on educating material handling and supply chain professionals on leading trends and opportunities for collaboration and networking.
This year, the conference featured four keynotes who spoke on themes that have accelerated change in supply chains.
- Scanners Taking Flight: Jonathan Evans & X, Skyward
- Millennials Mean Business: Buddy Bush, JB Training Solutions
- Economic Outlook for MHI: Jason Schenker, President, Prestige Economics
- A Tour of our Amazing—and Scary—Technofuture: Vivek Wadhwa, Duke University
Bringing together over 500 material handling and supply chain solution providers and users, this year also featured an adjusted format, with both class and lab tracks on six topics:
- U.S. Roadmap for Material Handling & Logistics
- Supply Chain Workforce
- Material Handling and Supply Chain Technology
- Managing Change
- Leadership
- Marketing in the Supply Chain Industry
The different tracks allowed attendees to customize their experience and learn in a way that best suited them.
“The goal of the Annual Conference is to bring the industry (MHI members and material handling and supply chain solution users) together to collaborate and develop into a growing community that shares knowledge and addresses current and future challenges and opportunities,” said George Prest, CEO of MHI.
The 2017 Annual Conference will be held October 1-4, 2017 at the Boca Raton Resort in Boca Raton, Florida.
