MHI Launches New Warehouse Automation Blog

MHI recently launched a blog that concentrates on warehouse and distribution center automation and robotics solutions. The AGVS, ASRS, CSS, Solutions Community and TRG Industry Groups of MHI collaborated on the creation of this new informational and news resource for manufacturing and supply chain professionals.

Traditionally, industrial robots in material handling applications have been limited to palletizing/depalletizing, conveyor picking or other highly-repetitive tasks. However, technology advancements and the expansion of ecommerce have created opportunities for the expansion of robots and automated solutions into a wider variety of applications, including warehousing and distribution center activities.

MHI is the nation’s largest material handling, logistics and supply chain association. MHI offers education, networking and solution sourcing for members, their customers and the industry as a whole through programming and events.

The MHI Warehouse Automation Blog will feature regular updates from industry experts on the latest trends and technologies in this space.
