Modula Enjoys Successful IMTS in Chicago

Modula’s vertical lift modules (VLMs) stood tall in Chicago’s McCormick Place during this month’s International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) 2016, where it was among 2,000 exhibitors and 115,000 visitors who gathered to discover the latest products and technologies.

Modula selected North America’s largest manufacturing exhibit to introduce Modula OnePick, a highly customizable edition of its original Lift. This product, that combines the VLM’s technology with a sophisticated automated system for the picking or replenishment of a single product at a time, received positive feedback.

Modula’s exhibit was popular among IMTS attendees.

“IMTS was certainly a perfect platform to validate our new innovation and launch this product in the North American market,” said Miguel Fabra, CEO, Modula. “Talking personally with the many visitors who came to our booth, it was clear how much pressure manufacturers are increasingly experiencing to close time gaps, keep employees safe, have products stored in a secure environment and avoid shipping mistakes.”

Great interest was also raised by the Modula Lift, the vertical storage solutions designed to optimize space and improve picking and storage operations. This VLM utilizes the full ceiling height of a facility, thus, maximizing the storage potential. Items are stored in units up to 46 feet high, in a safe, secure environment and delivered automatically to the operator, avoiding unnecessary bending, walking and reaching for parts.

“Recovering valuable floor space is becoming a major need also in North America. Customers are literally stunned when they discover how a vertical storage solution can help them saving up to 90% of floor space, utilizing the previously unused height of their facility,” Fabra said.
