Panu Routila Starts as Konecranes CEO 1 November

Panu Routila will start as the new president and CEO of Konecranes Plc on 1 November 2015. Konecranes announced the appointment of Panu Routila on 29 July 2015.

CFO Teo Ottola will continue as the deputy CEO. The deputy CEO uses the powers of the CEO if the CEO position is not filled or in situations when the CEO is incapacitated to fulfil his duties.

Routila succeeds Pekka Lundmark who left Konecranes last month (September) to pursue his career outside the company.

Konecranes Plc and Terex Corporation have unanimously approved a definitive agreement to combine their businesses in a merger of equals.

Panu Routila will start as the new president and CEO of Konecranes Plc on 1 November 2015.

The combined company, to be called Konecranes Terex Plc, will be a leading global lifting and material handling solutions company with estimated combined 2014 revenues and EBITDA of $10 billion and $845 million.
