PLASA to Host Behind the Scenes Happy Hour at LDI 2015

PLASA will host the second Behind the Scenes Happy Hour, an evening with music, food and drinks from 6pm-8pm on Thursday 22 October 2015 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.

Live Design International (LDI) is the leading trade show and conference for live design professionals from around the globe, which takes place 19-25 October at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Current sponsors include A.C. Lighting, Heartland Scenic Studios, iWeiss, RC4 Wireless, Sapsis Rigging, Inc., Stage Equipment and Lighting, Stan Pressner and Ultratec Special Effects.

After a hugely successful event in 2014, attended by over 400 creative industry professionals, the Behind the Scenes Happy Hour is returning.

After a hugely successful event in 2014, attended by over 400 creative industry professionals, the Behind the Scenes Happy Hour is returning to host the biggest pre-LDI party of the year and to raise money for the Behind the Scenes charity, which provides financial support to entertainment technology professionals when they are ill or injured, or to their surviving family members.

Funds are granted, which can then be used towards medical care, basic living costs and funeral expenses. Behind the Scenes, an initiative of the PLASA Foundation (formerly the ESTA Foundation) brings help and hope in times of great need, and has granted over $500,000 since its inception in 2005.

Tickets for the Behind the Scenes Happy Hour will be $60 in advance and will go on sale later this summer.
