Creform Corporation has built a simple mobile assembly cart for an automotive parts supplier that uses it for installation, repair, and cleaning activities. It also provides a helpful solution for in-process workflow.

The custom configurable cart features two levels of angled shelves on front and back for parts and supplies storage.

Each shelf features half inch lightweight plastic supported by Creform pipe and is tailored to fit specific parts, tools or processes.

Adaptable for different tasks allowing for flexibility in the production areas, the top shelf is designed to be a portable workspace.

The work surface is made out of a special material and has bumper protective edging attached around all sides to help prevent damage. The side shelf can be locked in place and folds down flat against the cart to save space when not in use. Also, the cart is equipped with black foamed pipe covering to prevent scratches and damage to parts.

The cart’s dimensions are 28″ L x 28″ W X 40″ T and features four 4″ diameter swivel casters…two with brakes and two locking for easy, stable and safe rolling and maneuverability. The bolt-on casters are a durable solution for the high number of “miles” that the carts travels.

As the cart will be pushed all day every day, it is important to keep cart’s weight as low as possible while maintaining the necessary strength and durability. The cart is designed to hold up to 400 lb. and comes with three tool holders which keep tools and materials securely within easy reach, enhancing productivity and reducing the risk of dropped items.

As with all Creform carts, higher capacity and custom cart sizes and configurations are possible with the Creform system of 28 mm and 42 mm plastic-coated steel pipes and metal joints. When needed, they can be configured for ESD (anti-static) applications. Further, Creform carts provide minimal maintenance requirements for prolonged durability. The surfaces are easy to clean to help maintain a hygienic environment.

The color of the pictured cart shown is black with white shelves, but a wide variety of pipe color options are available, and upgrade hitches are available for AGV or tugger delivery. Accessories include hooks, label holders for shelf levels or even shelf positions, pockets for paperwork, writing surface with clip boards just to name a few. Creform carts are available as a kit, assembled structure or in component form for a complete DIY solution.
