New Forklift Simulator
Forklift Simulator has unveiled its new virtual forklift training system which will be on show at ProMat (booth 3491).
The simulator combines the latest technology in 360° virtual reality headgear with an authentic driver’s seat and controls. It allows operators to hone their skills and increase confidence in complete safety. They can practice safety procedures in a risk-free environment and engage with an enjoyable and useful learning experience.
Benefits include:
- Increased productivity
- No risk of damage to worksites or equipment during training
- Reduced forklift maintenance
- Lower training costs
The simulator can be setup to include different machines and hardware controls to create a tailor-made virtual learning experience for multiple drivers at a time. This virtual environment can also be fully customized, so operators only carry out handling tasks relevant to their actual worksite.
Andy van den Broeck, of Forklift Simulator, said: “We were one of the first to create virtual training technology for forklifts back in 2011 when we developed our first simulator for Toyota. Now we are launching under our own brand and the freedom has meant that we can focus on creating a product that doesn’t compromise. Compact, affordable and customizable, this simulator will have a major impact on the productivity of worksites and dramatically increase cost efficiency, while improving safety.”
Forklift Simulator has been shortlisted in the 2015 MHI Innovation Award competition. The MHI Innovation Award serves to educate and provide valuable insights on the latest manufacturing and supply chain innovative products and services.
