Shelf Cart with Pull-Out Drawers
Creform Corporation has designed a shelf cart with pull-out drawers.
The cart was designed specifically for an aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul facility.
The cart’s dimensions are 41″ L x 28″ W x 64″ T and it is designed to hold up to 400 lb. The 28 mm pipe and joint cart features four 4 in. large diameter urethane casters with two fixed and two that swivel and brake. The swivel casters at the corners ensure stability and allow the cart to be pushed down aisles but also easily move laterally for positioning.
Built with clamped together 28mm ESD plastic coated steel pipe and ESD metal joints, the cart design creates straightforward visual management of inventory and optimizes the space required in the workplace. The plastic work surfaces provide space for parts needed for repair, while the pull-out drawers help improve access to parts as needed.
Its small footprint allows easy movement through space restrictive aisles and can be used for warehouse order picking or kitting within a factory. For example, it can be used to move parts or boxes from one station to another and in warehouses for order picking or kitting.
As with all Creform carts, higher capacity and custom cart sizes and configurations are possible with the Creform system of 28 mm and 42 mm plastic coated steel pipes and metal joints. They can be configured for ESD (anti-static) applications.
The modular nature of the Creform system supports long terms usage with system components readily available to repair damage or update the carts.
Although the cart pictured is shown in orange, a wide variety of pipe color options are available and multiple colors can be used per cart, or even per level for department or product identification. Upgrade hitches are available for AGV delivery.
Accessories include hooks, label, as well as writing surfaces with clip boards to name a few. Creform carts are available as a kit, assembled structure or in component form for a complete DIY solution. Long life, because the adaptability of the cart, remains a fundamental principal of Creform.
The Creform system is used to create an array of material handling and efficiency enhancing devices and is a proven component in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing programs. The company partners with customers in developing and enhancing these programs.
