Trunnion Spreader Beams
The Modulift range of Trunnion Spreader Beams has taken the lifting industry by storm since its launch in 2015.
As well as the expected industries focused on the health and safety aspects of such a configuration including Offshore, Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy, the Trunnion has been embraced by the Logistics, Construction and Nuclear sectors. All keen to benefit from the reduced weight and rigging advantages this solution has to offer.
Entering its 9th year, Modulift is not resting on the laurels of its initial design. The latest iteration demonstrates Modulift’s commitment to engineering excellence, offering a lighter design with cost savings to match. The company’s team of technical engineers remains committed to constant innovation and improvement.
“The new design is the result of meticulous Advanced Finite Element Analysis. The geometrically non-linear trunnions undergo validation through leading technical engineering software, ensuring a robust and effective design” said Harshal Kulkarni, Engineering Manager at Modulift.
Kulkarni continues “The Trunnion demonstrates Modulift’s commitment to innovative design engineering. DNV has approved the design methodology, adhering to industry standards Eurocode 3, DNV-CG-0127, DNV-RU-SHIP Pt.3 Ch.7, and DNV-RP-C208.”
The hassle-free Trunnion requires no shackles or drop links and is available in multiple sizes. Compatible with the existing MOD® Spreader Beam range, the Trunnion End Unit is interchangeable with struts from the MOD® 110 up to the MOD® 600/1000 product lines.
“The Trunnion marks another milestone in our commitment to providing innovative lifting solutions,” said Sarah Spivey, Managing Director at Modulift. “The improvements not only enhance the efficiency and safety of lifting operations but also underscore our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of our diverse customer base.”
