TVH Recognized as Heart Association Fit-Friendly Worksite
TVH in the Americas (TVH), a provider of replacement parts and accessories for the material handling and industrial equipment industry, has been recognized as a Platinum-Level Fit-Friendly Worksite by the American Heart Association for helping employees eat better and move more.
Fit-friendly worksites are recognized by the American Heart Association as employers that go above and beyond when it comes to employee health, offering both nutritional services and physical actives aimed at supporting the employees’ health.
“TVH is dedicated to the health and wellbeing of our employees and has worked hard to create a positive environment that champions an active and healthy lifestyle,” said Lucy DelSarto, health and wellness coach at TVH.
TVH actively promotes health and wellness to its employees through its comprehensive ‘Nudge’ program. This program promotes a wide variety of wellness initiatives to help give employees the opportunity to get moving, stay active and be healthy.
The ‘Nudge’ program offers employees healthy eating alternatives, an on-site fitness center, various walking challenges throughout the year, gym membership reimbursements, health and wellness seminars, yoga classes, health screenings and more.
“Receiving this recognition is testament to our continued commitment to the health and well-being of our employees and families,” said DelSarto. “Through our ‘Nudge’ program and other initiatives, employees are offered a variety of services, tools and health education to improve, manage and sustain good health.”
Meanwhile, TVH will be celebrating National Mentor Month throughout January. TVH launched a pilot Mentor program at its Olathe location in February 2015. The program began with 18 Mentors and 18 Mentees who ventured on a yearlong journey of sharing knowledge and experiences.
